Sometimes you really wish some (blissful) moments would never end… and yes you got it, I have just experienced THAT 2MOSS moment…
Let me set the scene: the sun was beating down and the first days of spring were bringing out the worst in my hair after its long winter hibernation… things were not looking good as you can well imagine, the situation was serious.
It was high time to take action and deal with my frazzled locks by giving them a total care makeover in a salon and this time I was going down the organic route.
Only thing was that despite being disciples of organic cosmetics, we had found organic hair products always seemed to fall short of the mark… either too dry and irritating for the scalp or just too oily leaving a greasy film on the hair (forget that ‘wet look’ which was only ever acceptable in the 80’s and not on the streets of Paris) or products that fail to leave your hair hydrated or untangled. All in all, not ideal!
Having heard rave reviews of the 2MOSS Institute (Elle, Vogue, Marie-Claire and other websites tried and tested it before us!), we decided to go for the full monty: namely the cut and massage/hair treatment.
We won’t even try to use that old chestnut of “we tested it for you people!” nope… that would be a lie as we did it for yours truly here!! And we loved it! But we are more than willing to share a little bit of the experience with you…
First things first: the institute itself oozes with understated refinement and chic and by the time we got to meet the institute’s and brand founder Elyane Moschos, we were already blissing out on our little cool white and beige toned cloud… Passionate hair care expert, Elyane’s eyes lit up as she told us the story behind her hair care treatments.
The 2MOSS institute was founded in 2006 in Paris but it took a further three years of intense product development and testing before the launch of the 2MOSS luxury hair care product line.
We found all this out in the comfort of our private treatment room!
We settled for the ‘instant optimum’ treatment, more than enticed by treatment’s description: “optimising wellbeing and your hair’s inner beauty, shoulder back and neck massage with essential oils and hair care treatment for your specific type of hair”.
It was mmmm… quite simply delicious.
But did it also do what it said on the tin? Well with the hair treatment, hair was easy to comb through whilst the hair mask and oils diffused a very light plant-like fragrance-nearing perfection!
The main active ingredients within 2MOSS products are jojoba oil and hyaluronic acid, both of which make up the base for most products, deeply nourishing and hydrating the hair and adapting to hair type.
And as I left the institute, my newly light and shiny locks were bouncing, so finally a great looking organic product that actually works…
When leaving the building, I made sure that in I had in my bag, a bottle of the Hydra-purifying shampoo (to treat greasy roots and dry ends to harmonise hair types) and some day cream which you apply on a daily basis, on unruly dry hair in order to tame it and add lustre without greasing the hair. Done deal, we are now 2MOSS aficionados!
The good news gets better though as you can also do this at home ! Treatments are available at the institute and Le Bon Marché in Paris or on the following web sites: ecocentric and natural glam.
Naturally, no need to add that all 2MOSS products are Ecocert certified and carry the Cosmebio label which in layman’s terms means they have not been tested on animals and are free from parabens, petrochemichals, silicones and colouring.
So bring on quality organic hair care products!
With this type of treatment, we don’t mind putting our hair straighteners /curlers aside and daring to go out au naturel…
